Home Again, Day 4

Now that we are home, I can add a few photos.
Noah with Winter, Wednesday morning before surgery
Noah woke up so excited about surgery. His attitude was amazing.

Heading to the Go-to-sleep room. He was loving the bed ride, begging to go faster!

Falling asleep with strawberry-scented sleeping gas, his choice

See Eric and Heather? We really did fit! Greg didn't make it the whole night though.
Not sure how I managed to kick him out with the wall right there.

Noah, earlier today, feeling better

The ride home. Slept almost the whole way!

He has been quite active since he's home.
Lego fun with his new set from Grandpa Bayer's.

Playing Sequence Jr after a lengthy game of Uno

Home sweet home! After a good night last night and a good morning, we were comfortable that Noah's pain was under control again. (Thank you for praying after his difficult night and day yesterday!) So we wrapped things up at the hospital and headed out on some awful roads. One thing we learned this week is that Cincinnati does a terrible job of clearing their roads. Once we got closer to home, it was easier going. Thankfully, Noah slept most of the way.

Noah was very excited to try out his wheelchair, to play matchbox cars, to play games. Definitely feeling more like himself today! He is missing his siblings something fierce, and can hardly wait to see them tomorrow. He doesn't have much of an appetite, which is a challenge with all of the meds he is taking. Breakfast milkshakes are the best thing we have found so far.

We are thankful to be this far post-surgery. We are very appreciative of the excellent care Noah received at Cincinnati Children's. We feel very supported by our family and friends. We feel very cared for by God through the good and the hard, and yes, sometimes that is the same thing.
