Surgery Day!

trying out his post-op wheelchair, a bit big!!!!!

Today is the day! We braved terrible roads, arrived 30 minutes late. Met many wonderful nurses, anesthesiologists and doctors who are taking good care of Noah. Received many well-wishes and prayers from many of you. And now Noah is in surgery for 3 hours +/-. We are waiting to see if he will have casts afterwards. It depends on what kind of procedure they are able to do and they couldn't tell until they got started. If he does have casts, they will be red, Noah's choice.

Noah was a champ through all the pre-stuff. Everyone is falling in love with him. Imagine that! We are so thankful for his super attitude! We've been warned that post-surgery may not be so good, understandably.

In the rush out the door, Noah forgot Bungles, the monkey and Baby Tina who were going to surgery with him! He had wanted to carry them himself and we didn't check. Boo. But we had brought Winter, the dolphin with the prosthetic tale, for an after-surgery gift so Noah quickly fell in love with her and she is now in surgery with him.

We are thankful that Noah's cough wasn't congested so we didn't have to postpone surgery.

Praising God for His care and blessing!

  1. Hey Lana!
Praying for you all this morning - hope it is going well! (We have made that very trip on icy roads a few times, so my heart goes out to you!) If you get a chance, could you post his room number later? I would like to send him an e card today but want to make sure it gets to him instead of leaving the room number blank and chancing it! (And, we should send it to Noah Bayer, right?)

    Thanks for the update!
